The tail side of the Financier’s glittering coin, the Sourcer is a guide into the less-savory side of the world, able to scrounge up equipment, items, and even information less than strictly “legitimate” ways. If you’re hard for gold and unsure of how you’re going to get what you need, a Sourcer may quickly become your new best friend.
Sourcers are loathe to share their methods, nor their sourcers, especially to those in charge. Often, as long as you keep them on the payroll, you merely need to ask for their help with something, and somehow it will get done. It may not always get done exactly in the way that was asked, but Sourcers are well-known for their ability to jury-rig a solution from limited resources.
Sourcers also have an ear into the underground of an area, especially among the whispers of the seedier parts of society. They often have tips for paying jobs which may not be strictly legitimate, or could have alternate means of accomplishing a goal. They are also extremely good at liquidizing assets that have proven “difficult” to find a buyer for.
Still, though, many Sourcers are a little shy about their personal “sources,” and don’t like revealing how they know something as readily as that such information may be available. If pushed, they can become more dodgy and less-cooperative. But keep them paid and keep them useful, and you’ll find your life much easier.
